About This Cat

It breaks my heart to give Luna away. I was a dog person before having her, and raised her from a kitten the same way I would a dog. She's friendly, intelligent, funny (I'm sure she does things deliberately to make us laugh, might be imagining that). She loves to play and will chase a feather until she can't walk🤣. Also, Can't resist a tape measure. She's independent but also has made a tight bond with me and will follow me anywhere (apart from near cars. She hates cars, which is a good thing). She gets in her carry box without any coaxing (i leave it out and open, so she doesn't fear it). I take her for walks every day, just around the block off lead, or long strolls in the forest on a retractable lead and harness. We've had to stop for hundreds of photos as people seemed amazed that she's out on the lead. We even been pulled over by the police once, just because they wanted a pic.🤣 She loves the outdoors but also loves to curl up on the sofa. She's very talkative and loves a good head bump.

She used to patrol out cul-de-sac all day like she owned the place. All the neighbours know her and I'd get regular calls saying " don't worry Steve. Luna is curled up by my fireplace).🤣

But in the last few months everything has changed. Some neighbours across the road bought 2 big toms and refused to get them neutered (saying it's cruel)🤬.. One day we heard a huge cat fight outside. Luna came running in shaking with the biggest tail I've ever seen, and now won't go outside without me. She spends all day staring out of the window, and when ever she sees the Tom outside, she pees in the house and hides in our bedroom. We've tried everything. Pheromone sprays, calming tablets, feliway plugins. Even got in touch with Jackson Galaxy.🤣   It's heartbreaking to see what she's become and so we've made a horrible decision to find her a new home. Keeping her would just be selfish. She's friendly to other cats and some dogs too, but these 2 toms have taken over her territory and made her a prisoner in her own home.  I don't want payment. I love her like a daughter and selling her wouldn't sit right with me.  I won't give her to anyone either.  I need to know she's going get the love and care she gets here. Writing this is upsetting but she's lost her mojo and I'm positive she'll perk right up once she settles somewhere new without those Toms. Luna is more than just a cat.

P.s. no-one near home please. She'll just find her way home.

Thanks

Steve

Bengal Kitten Buying Checklist

We highly recommend every buyer reads through the below advice when purchasing or rehoming a Bengal.

  • View the animal in the place it was born and raised - check for genuine home environments if buying privately, or the quality of the breeders set-up if applicable.
  • Make sure the animal's old enough to be rehomed. 8 weeks should be the earliest a kitten can be rehomed.
  • By law, all cats MUST be microchipped
  • Review and verify any documents, such as TICA registration paperwork where applicable

Avoid Potential Scams

There are a number of red flags to look out for when purchasing a new kitten:

  • Seller demands a deposit without allowing you to see the cat first - never send any money before meeting the animal in person
  • Seller is reluctant to send you additional photos or videos
  • Seller offers to deliver the cat/kitten without you viewing it first
  • Seller asks to meet in a mutual location
  • Seller uses fake or stolen photos from the internet. Always carry out a "Google image search".
  • Seller asks to immediately switch to communication off the Bengal Owners website
  • Seller uses a different phone number to the one listed on the website
  • Seller asks you to send money to a bank account with a different name to the person you have been communicating with
  • The cat/kitten is advertised significantly cheaper than similar listings

Although we have a number of automated systems in place to prevent scam and fraudulant adverts, these can never be 100% accurate and its important to use caution when buying online. We do not accept any responsibility for transactions between our users, especially when our safe buying advice is not followed.
